CAN WE TOUGH THIS OUT?

Haven't posted in awhile. A lot has happened in my house in the past few months. Some good and some not so good.
Elections are over and it appears that most Americans have told
Congress what they think of just about all that has taken place in our country. The jobless situation is deplorable [and they tell us we are not in a depression]. The prices of food, utilities and gasoline are escalating. People are going into bankruptcy and foreclosure.
Most Americans are hard working middle class, economically speaking, people who just want a decent place to live, a good education for their kids and retirement without a lot of debt.
Right now our grandchildren will inherit the largest deficit in our country's history.
Our seniors are suffering and having to make choices like "do we eat" or "do we pay for our medicines".
Charge cards have literally strapped every American with an Albatross of debt and our government has done the same thing.
